Heroes Season 2

Last night was the premier of Heroes Season 2 and I can say that this is going to be another great one. After a disappointing conclusion of its book 1, Heroes bounced back with a great first episode. Hiro finds himself in the time of his hero, Takeso Kensei, only to find out that he’s not heroic at all and that he is not Japanese but rather European. Claire struggles to live an ordinary life as his dad Nathan lives in total misery with the loss of his brother Peter. However, a man locked up in a container van who does not know anything about himself reveals to be Peter. Yeah… That’s right… he’s alive and kicking! With more revelations and introduction of new extraordinary people and , Heroes Season 2 promises to be once again a hit on prime time television.

Addictous Mode!

Posted on September 17th, 2007 by admin, under Games and Gaming.

Need for Speed Underground 2 It’s been five days since I first installed and played the game called Need for Speed Underground 2 and since then, I’ve been in the Addictous Mode. For those who don’t know the game, it’s a type of game where you get your own car, set it up and install upgrades to increase its speed and visual ratings and most importantly, win car races. The whole game is similar to the concept of the movie “the Fast and the Furious”. I’m just not sure which one originated from the other.

Anyway, after five days of almost sleepless nights and of no work getting done (which also means no money for me by the way), I finally finished the entire game. Every secret and upgrades were unlocked and I had every upgrade possible installed on my car. My car has also reached the maximum possible acceleration and speed.

I feel great not only because I got to finish it only within a few days after playing it like there’s no longer any tomorrow but also because I can finally go back to making some money.

Resident Evil Extinction

Resident Evil Extinction - Alice Resident Evil Extinction - Poster Resident Evil Extinction - Friends

More than just a hot babe shooting guns, Resident evil is an action packed film that is worth watching. This last piece of the game based trilogy tells a story about the world’s struggle to survive a contagious virus that turns humans into walking dead men. The evil Umbrella Corporation continues to try in replicating Alice to be able to come up with a cure to this virus and keep it for their evil plans. That was until they find out that Alice is still alive with some friends in the dessert of Nevada. With a little hope that the virus has not yet gone to Alaska, her friends steal a chopper and flies there. Alice on the other hand, stays behind to settle things with the Umbrella Corporation. All in all, this is a great movie to watch. However, it doesn’t have the best ending for a trilogy. To be honest I did expect more from this film.

A Weekend in the Gangsta Town

Posted on September 13th, 2007 by admin, under Travel and Holidays.

Third week of August…. Bulacan, hometown of the “Queen of Gangsters”, which is Ate Cel by the way, is where Marvin (a colleague and friend) and I decided to celebrate our birthday for this year. We were both born on the same date and we thought that celebrating our birthdays together would save us some money. Everything went well and the over all experience was fun except for the bad weather. It was raining all weekend and our plan to go swimming didn’t push through so we ended up eating and playing video games all weekend. However, the bad weather isn’t enough to stop us from fishing. Here are some photos taken from our trip:

Grace’s CatchMy Catch

The GroupCake

In the first photo, Grace is trying to eat catch before she even unhooks it while I held mine without any reaction. We also saw some fishermen called “mandadala” who were throwing their nets to catch some fish. You can see in the fourth picture how workaholic I am; still working on a vacation! Sunday was also the birthday of Ate Cel’s dad so that weekend was flooded with food.
