Another Year of Blessings has Passed
Today, another year is added to the tally of how long I’ve been living in this world. Birthday as people call this day… I’m filled with happiness and gratitude that God has lent me my life for this long.
I can’t say that my life now is perfect but there are a lot of things to be happy about and be thankful for. My friends, family, personal experiences and all the people around me have contributed to what I am now and I thank them all for that. To be honest, I’m not really sure what this day means for the people around me but I hope that they are happy that I have become a part of their lives.
As I turn 24 years of age, I know that more will be expected from me. I’m not sure if I can meet these expectations or if I even want to. I just want to live each day of my life the way I want it.
This day is going to be celebrated with some of the important people in my life. Nothing fancy though… Just a simple dinner and a few drinks to make it somewhat memorable.
